BREAKING: Enugu State Receives ₦100,000,000 Award from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu as Cleanest and Model Green State

Enugu State has once again taken the spotlight for excellence in environmental management and sustainability. In a landmark recognition, the state was on Saturday awarded ₦100,000,000 by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, after being declared the Cleanest and Model Green State in the country.

The prestigious award comes as part of the First Lady’s nationwide initiative to encourage environmental consciousness, sustainable urban development, and green innovation across Nigeria.

Speaking during the award presentation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu commended Enugu State for its commitment to cleanliness, green policies, and the maintenance of healthy urban spaces. She described the state as a shining example for others to emulate in the fight against environmental degradation and urban waste mismanagement.

The ₦100 million prize is expected to further boost Enugu’s ongoing urban renewal projects, waste management programs, and green city initiatives.

Governor Peter Mbah, represented at the event, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for the recognition. He emphasized that the award reflects the government’s vision of transforming Enugu into a modern, clean, and environmentally sustainable state.
